Extensometer Micron-Motor

Micron extensometer allows measurement of specimen longitudinal deformation to rupture or up to Ag/Agt at high plasticity, with the possibility for the operator to adjust gauge length at his own discretion. It is particularly suitable for steel, rigid plastic, resin, fabric and allows to measure RPxx, Young modulus, Ag, Agt, A%.

DESCRIPTION
The Micron-Motor is a universal, high resolution extensometer for tensile, testing, on plastics, foams, elastomers and metals which have large specimen extensions.
It has a dual measuring system which combines micro and long-travel measurement. This calculation of Young's modulus on metals secant modulus of plastics as well as the determination of elongation at break.


Features and Benefits: Integrated into the guidance system are two, independent motorised.
These have the following tasks: » Acquisition and pre processing of the status and measuring heads
» Control and regulation of the measuring carriage and head drives
» Monitoring of the safety limits of the measuring carriages and heads
» Transfer of measurement, control and status signals between measuring
» Carriages, measuring heads and central measurement and control unit.

The large number of function of the Micron is a requirement for exact and reproducible measurement values and it ensures simple and secure operation.
The mounting height of the Micron can be manually adjusted that the travel path of the measuring carriages can be optimally used.

The high resolution and accuracy, depending on the length of the sensor arms used, are available over the entire measurement path.


Working principle:

Two measuring heads mounted on a linear guide are independently driven controlled by means of a stepper motor and ball screws.
Each head is fitted with high resolution optical encoder, connected to a moving arm which measures specimen deflection.
