The CytoFLEX Blue-Red-Violet (B-R-V) Flow Cytometer Series has the capacity for 15 parameters, including 13 for fluorescence detection. The fully activated instrument includes five channels from the 488 nm (Blue) laser, three from the 638 nm (Red) laser, and five from the 405 nm (Violet) laser. Instruments with as few as four fluorescent channels activated are available with the ability to activate additional parameters as needed by purchasing an activation key.
The CytoFLEX S (Blue, Red, Violet, Infrared Series) has the capacity for 15 parameters, including 13 for fluorescence detection. The fully activated instrument includes four channels from the 488 nm (Blue) laser, three from the 638 nm (Red) laser, four from the 405 nm (Violet) laser and two from the 808 nm (Infrared) laser. Instruments with as few as four fluorescent channels activated are available with the ability to activate additional parameters as needed by purchasing an activation key.
The CytoFLEX LX Blue-Red-Violet-Yellow Near UV-Infrared (B-R-V-Y-N-I) Series has the capacity for 23 parameters, including 21 for fluorescence detection. The fully activated instrument includes three channels from the 488 nm (Blue) laser, three from the 638 nm (Red) laser, five from the 405 nm (Violet) laser, five from the 561 nm (Yellow Green), three from the 375 nm (Near UV), and two from the 808 nm (Infrared) laser.


 The CytoFLEX Flow Cytometer provides the performance you need in an easy to use system allowing you to focus on the science, not the instrumentation. The system can be configured for the needs of your laboratory, whether it is routine low complexity analysis, high complexity analysis, or analysis that pushes the boundaries for flow cytometry.

Sensitivity

CytoFLEX delivers and surpasses capabilities expected in top tier analyzers, with excellent sensitivity in all scatter and fluorescence. The novel patent-pending optical design of the CytoFLEX research flow cytometer optimizes excitation from up to 3 lasers (488nm, 638nm, 405nm) and light collection efficiency. With unique flow cell design and integrated optics, the innovative, patent-pending Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) detection module includes solid-state, high efficiency, low-noise detectors for excellent performance. The WDM’s bandpass only design also provide flexibility with a variety of configurations from 4 to 13 colors and easily changeable bandpass filters.

Resolution

Nano Particle Detection When equipped with a violet laser, the CytoFLEX can be set up to measure Side Scatter from 405nm for enhanced nanoparticle detection. Mie theory predicts that the scattering cross section of a particle, and thus its scattering intensity, depends on the wavelength of light, the angle of collection, and the size, shape, and refractive index of the particle. All other factors being equal, using a shorter illumination wavelength will result in an increase in scattering cross section, and thus more scattered light. The CytoFLEX offers light scattering parameter measurements from the 488nm laser light, and optionally from the 405nm laser to enhance small particle detection. figure 5
